What shall I wear to my trial?
If possible it’s best to wear a light top or one that’s a similar colour to your Wedding/Prom Dress. If it’s one we can pull the straps down or has thin straps then that’s even better. It’s always warm in my salon, so you’ll not freeze… even in winter. This will give you a better idea of how your hair will look on your Special Day when you’ve got your Wedding or Prom dress on.
What shall I bring to my trial?
It’s ideal if you can bring any hair and jewellery accessories that you have to your trial. Even if you aren’t sure about them, it’s always good to have a selection. Please don’t worry though if you don’t have any, I’ve a big selection that we can play about with. And I will be on hand to help you pick the perfect accessory… if you need any. Not all hair styles require accessories. If you do, I can give you advice on the best places to get them for you and your bridal party.
“When shall I wash my hair for my trial?
For any trials, Please wash it the day before. We can then assess and see if that is going to be best for your Wedding or special occasion hair.
I totally understand though that you know your hair best, So if you know day two is best then we can give that a whirl for your trial.
The absolute rule please is that it MUST be clean with minimal product in.
A smooth blow dry will be the best style to arrive with. This will give a beautiful base to create beautiful hair with.
How long does a trial take?
For a Bridal Trial, please allow up to 2 hours. This will give us enough time to really chat about how I can create beautiful hair for you and your bridal party. We can be discussing the plan for the day as well so we can have a loose schedule.
Will I go home with my Bridal Hairstyle after a Trial?

That’s totally up to you. If you’d like to then of course you’re very welcome to. Often it’s nice to go home with a different style so nobody sees your bridal/special occasion hair.
The aim of a Trial is to practice different styles to achieve the perfect hair for your wedding or event. This can take several different versions so often your hair has been played about with too much for it to look beautiful once the pins have been taken out (if you aren’t going home with your perfect trial style) I will of course try and make it look lovely for you to leave. But I’d rather use that time creating your dream style than worrying about what it’ll look like when you leave.
There’s often so many questions around trials, travel, timings and what’s achievable on your special day. I have had the privilege of styling hundreds of hairs for Wedding’s and special occasions. So please reach out to me if I can help with anything at all.
